Opening Doors. Building Experience. Preparing for What Comes Next.
First professional experience can shape how someone sees their future. This summer, De Lune Corp created an opportunity for students to discover where their knowledge, curiosity, and ideas could take them.
Our Summer 2026 Internship Program brought emerging talent into the conversations, projects, and decisions behind our work. Over eight weeks, interns explored federal contracting, business development, AI, software development, and cybersecurity, guided by practical assignments, leadership feedback, and insights from industry professionals.
The purpose was clear: To give students meaningful work, experienced guidance, and the opportunity to contribute.
The journey began with discovery. Interns researched real federal contract opportunities and learned how companies decide where to focus their efforts. They examined customer needs, considered whether the work matched De Lune’s capabilities, and explored where partnerships could strengthen a response. Their research became a focused shortlist, with clear reasoning behind each choice.

That process introduced a lesson they could carry into any career: recognizing an opportunity takes curiosity; deciding how to pursue it takes judgment.
Next came the work of turning research into a proposal. Interns reviewed requirements, organized their findings, and developed an approach to a selected opportunity. They practiced explaining what the customer needed, How De Lune could respond, and why their proposed solution made sense.
When company leadership reviewed their proposals, the interns experienced another important part of professional life: receiving feedback and putting it to use. They revisited their ideas, strengthened their explanations, and continued developing simple working versions of their solutions. Preparing to present that work brought together weeks of research, writing, collaboration, and technical learning.

Alongside the projects, guest speakers opened a window into different industries and career paths.
First Speaker shared insights into AI, cybersecurity, federal contracting, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Second Speaker brought perspectives from the AI and federal technology space. Third Speaker encouraged interns to discover their individual strengths and build careers around them, while recognizing the importance of family and balance.
Fourth Speaker shared a different path from trade jobs to entrepreneurship and AI. His story showed how experience gained in one field can become valuable in another. Through his introduction to Glacier, interns also explored how identifying a security challenge can lead to a practical technology solution.
These conversations connected the interns’ daily work with a wider view of what was possible. They offered lessons in continuous learning, thoughtful use of AI, problem-solving, and choosing a career with purpose.
The summer also had its lighter moments. Foosball, putting activities, and friendly competition gave the cohort time to recharge and build relationships. Between assignments and discussions, there was room for laughter and the shared experiences that made the team memorable.

Throughout the program, interns had opportunities to ask questions, explain their decisions, take responsibility, and improve their work. Each stage helped them understand how their skills could contribute in a professional setting.
For De Lune Corp, this program reflected a continuing commitment to investing in people and creating opportunities for the next generation. Meaningful experience begins when someone is given the chance to participate and the support to grow.

We thank our interns for their ideas and effort, our guest speakers for sharing their experience, and De Lune leadership for helping bring the program to life.
As our interns take their next steps, we look forward to seeing how they use what they learned and the contributions they will make in the years ahead.
